The American populous and leadership that champion Judea-Christian values as a foundation for American religion are on God's hit list right now. As an act of retribution against the far-left's recent years of exalting homosexuality and multiculturalism upon the traditional W.A.S.P. (White Anglo Saxon Protestant), the Christian right have waged a religious war against the left, against the Islamic religion, and basically anyone people of color they ideologically deem "not Christian."
While preaching against homosexuality and practicing malice against race-mixing, drug use and general work ethics of young people and people of color, the Christian right is committing horrendous acts of sin they themselves completely ignore. As explained in a parable in the very Bible they preach from and from the very words and ideology of their Savior, Jesus Christ, to preach against one sin while ignoring similar yet greater sins, is a sin itself; and the highest degree of hypocrisy.
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone" (St. Mat. 23:23).
Jesus clearly pointed out that the religious leaders were passionately practicing one area of the law while leaving out the most important matters. This is exactly what the Christian right is doing today, many of whom are entrenched in the sin of adultery, hypocrisy, and wantonness. So now that they are in power and have a chance to correct the Biblical ills of society, they have not considered their own Christian shortcomings. And as God judged the power structure that thrust homosexuality upon the people, so will He judge those who wrongfully practice more inconspicuous sins.
"It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery" (St. Mat. 5:31,32).
Adultery is a sin. Divorce is technically a sin; yet many of today's leaders have committed these sins, including religion leaders, our current President and those who put him in power. Though homosexuality and adultery are open, fleshly acts of sin, the Christian right are committing multiple mental sins, (which Jesus also condemns) by believing in and practicing a type of superiority over those they deem not-quite-like-them. Unfortunately, they and the left, no matter how loud they quote scripture and how high they hold their moral values, they are all headed to hell with the Bible in their hands.
