Putin, Trump, the GOP and their Future

The conflict of Ukraine represents the future of American politics to an extraordinary parallel degree. There is a strongman dictator, Putin, who has this retro imagination of a 1970’s made-for-tv war going on for no real reason anyone can pinpoint; trumpeted by a state-run propaganda media machine.

Meanwhile, the Russian citizens are pissed and rebelling against him in the streets, but to maintain his image as a dictator he has to throw them in jail for their disobedience, which at some point will become an unmanageable task for the government.

The Russian military is facing difficult times on the battlefield from being ill-prepared, hungry and confused as to why they are there based on misinformation. Their opponents, the Ukrainians, are unexpectantly fighting back, who happen to be their own distant countrymen. And the wealthy Russian oligarchs who have absolute control and persuasion over the government and who milk the people are being targeted by world banks and having their riches confiscated by authorities.

As a consequence of Russia’s miscalculation of reality and the world, protestors, world media, businesses, and other nations, have condemned his actions as criminal and cruel. Putin has become isolated and have probably looked at himself in the mirror and asked, “Is it me?”

The similarities of the Russian debacle and American politics is that the last president (Trump) and his massive following of so-called American patriots relate to Putin more than they do their own neighbors. The ironic part is that they were calling for the same policies and behavior Putin uses and they were on a similar course politically before the Russian debacle began, which have revealed the true nature of Trump and his followers. They are little dictators isolated from the world with destructive ideas on how to run a country.

The theory is simple; Putin’s worldview consists of strongarm tactics of diplomacy and warmongering in relation to other countries; Trump supports Putin, Trump supporters support Trump, the GOP is made up of Trump supporters, thus, all their worldviews are similar. This is reflected in the laws the GOP passes in America and the rhetoric spewed on right-wing media to this day.

Once they all saw what Putin is capable (and incapable) of, they are now taking a second look at themselves, but not to their benefit. They now see themselves in Putin and what the future holds for their policies and ideology in the world. War, death, rebellion and incompetence.

If the GOP is going to take over the country to practice the ideologies of Putin, they can expect the same fate. At some point, their agenda will be tried and tested and as a result the people will rise up against them, the American oligarchs will lose in the end, and another country will humiliate them in war on the world stage.
