Me Money, Their Greed - (based on Kanye West's "Golddigger")
by Rev. Reynard N. Blake, Jr.

[Singer #1]
They make much money, but I'm in need
Yeah, see the lyin' Dick Cheney
Oil he wants, with bigger crime after crime
That stems from greed

[Chorus:]
(They steal me money)
So why he actin' like a war hero? (And we're not free)
Bush can't stop messin' wit Iraq people (He steal me money)
And Halliburton got no war heroes (While soldiers bleed)
But they just killin' all the wrong people (And mothers weep)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (we gotta leave)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (we gotta leave)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (we gotta leave)
Iraq burns, more death

[Verse 1:]
[Singer #1 lyrics repeated across verse]
Lookin' for bombs
Colin Powell said they had some
Saddam wanting to cause much harm
Using nuclear bombs
He used lies to sell Iraq
Our intel flights found bombs
And the world must stop Iraq
We should send U.S. bombs and disarm
Evil Saddam and his bombs
He kills people
But meanwhile Bush shows that don't care about Black people
Katrina leveled N'Orleans real quick
An' his momma says all those black cats were chillin'
'Cause they safer than the places they were livin'
Bush chuckles with his friends, they all start to grin
Now Republicans can now have their own way
If you livin' in their world then you're gonna get paid
You know why
Pay too much for contracts
Halliburton sees too much paper through contracts
Back in the day there were few no-bid contracts
I don't care what none of y'all say; they're like muggers

[Chorus:] (They steal me money)
So why he actin' like he's Goldfinger? (And we're not free)
Cheney gettin' oil for rich ring-wingers (He steal me money)
And Americans should have no fears though (Our money leaves)
But they just spyin' on the wrong people (Can you believe?)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (Don't you believe?)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (we gotta leave)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (we gotta leave)
Iraq burns, more wealth?

[Verse 2:]
[Singer #1 lyrics repeated across verse]
18 years, 18 years
Lookin' for all those kids, track them through senior year
I know commercials sayin' "army strong" to all of the kids
God's kingdom come for the kids buying into this
Don't they see that on TV only guns are at play
Killing is not shown and lives and limbs are not maimed
They should see all that carnage free from lies that fight means freedom
Or, when it's time for those shot or those with minds diseased
They're walkin' around lookin' for help with meeting their needs
Soldiers should be assured they'll go and get care freeeeeee (no money)
Why should they go out to war or go re-up?
THEY WON'T RE-UP, yeah!
Are the costs at Walter Reed bad?
PTSD[1] will chase the soldiers-it's sad
Wasted years, wasted years
A soldier fighting for freedom gives all that he can give

[Chorus:]
(They steal me money)
So why he actin' like a war hero? (And we're not free)
Bush can't stop messin' wit Iraq people (He leaves them bloody)
And Halliburton got no war heroes (And soldiers bleed)
But they just killin' all the wrong people (And mothers weep)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (we gotta leave)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (we gotta leave)
Don't steal oil, let's get out now (we gotta leave)
Soldiers burn, more dead

Now you're delayin' all the home visits soldier's need
You want to prove a point and say that we're free
Soldiers can't leave Iraq and they're not free
You dismiss lots of facts, soldier's families have needs
Media loves him, fears him
Lets Cheney talk on "the dark side" without question
He's on a mission people; just look in his eyes
(Singer #1 comes in)
This war is for freedom; just another lie
Don't stick by his side
This war had made gas and heating oil high
Credit card debt keeps gettin' higher
Will we ever learn?
Stock markets keep going up while people going poor

Silence hurts, instead get loud
Silence hurts, instead get loud
Silence hurts, instead get loud
Silence hurts, get loud
(They take my money)
Let me hear that back
